Sailboats and yachts

The Isis is the most historic boat of Pegaso Chartering and her elegant lines are an excellent example of the finest in classic sailboats. She was designed by renowned Naval architect William Fife III and built in the De Vries Lentsch shipyard in Holland. Launched in 1938, she entered the Queen Mary’s Regatta and easily won gaining instant recognition and fame. However, with the start of World War II, the Dutch realized they could not defend their country so they moved the Isis and other boats to an inland lake, drained the lake with their dike system, buried the boats beneath the mud, and then refilled the lake. She was raised after the war and has sailed all over the world. The Isis was restored in California in 1999, and brought to Puerto Vallarta where she made an immediate impact as one of the premier touring boats.

If you have never sailed before, this is your opportunity to learn! Before departing from Marina Vallarta, we offer a short briefing on the basics of sailing. The rest of the day can be as interactive as you choose it to be. Adventure seekers will welcome the opportunity to swim and snorkel in Banderas Bay, and if weather permits, we will stop at a beautiful beach where you can enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the protected waters of a secluded cove. For the less energetic, this is a day to just kick back on one of our many cushioned mattresses. There is simply no better way to take in the tropical rays, sip on an ice-cold beverage, and enjoy the sounds of the sea accentuated by the song of the wind and the billowing sails.
