Located at the southernmost point in Puerto Vallarta, Mismaloya lies at the foot of the mountains in its own jungle-fringed cove. You can enjoy some of the best views Vallarta has to offer from the roadside vantage points on the drive towards this beach.

Mismaloya is famous for having been the beach chosen by John Huston to film Tennessee Williams' 1964 film, “The Night of the Iguana". The ruins of the construction still exist at the far end of the beach, but access to the set, which used to be an interesting attraction, has been indefinitely blocked.
