Talpa de Allende

Surrounded by mountains and forests that perfectly mix natural beauty with culture and tradition, Talpa de Allende is a charming town that radiates the magic of the Mexican people. The famous Our Lady of Talpa Church dates back to 1782 and is an architectural wonder, where the image of the famous Virgen of Talpa stands to welcome thousands of Catholics every year.

On your visit to Talpa, make sure to visit the Our Lady of Talpa Church, the main plaza, the Welcome Arch, the Maple Forest, the Virgen of Talpa Museum, the City Hall and Market, as well as some of the local chapels. Browse through the local crafts and try the typical sweets, including “Chilte”, better known as Talpa Gum, which is only made here.
